http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavo_Cerati

Disco Signos 1986
El Rito
Soy un profanador
Estoy desafiando al tiempo
Ya ves mi transgresión
Es procurar tenerte
El cielo entiende que mi obsesión
Está llegando a un limite
Y el desierto al menos hoy
No parece no parece tan

Tratame Suavemente
No quiero soñar

He cambiado, pero aún mi corazón
Permanece intacto

He cambiado, pero aún mi corazón

Me resisto
vegetal
Amor vegetal

Seguramente habrá escuchado "Estado Vegetativo" muchas veces.

No vuelvas,

1990
No habrá remedio infalible
Te confiaré
Las almas son tan corruptibles
Que no querrás saber
Te confiaré
Y no querrás saber

Disco Soda Stereo 1994
Sobredosis de Tv
Mis manos siguen frias
he perdido la fascinación
sus rasgos son escombros
detienen mi respiración

Acuestate, levantate
no puedo seguir asi, oh no
Apagalo, enciendelo
no puedo seguir asi, oh no

Algo anda mal, mal, algo falla
Dando vueltas por tu cuarto sin sentido,
Esperando algun milagro y no pasa nada

Oye! te hacen falta vitaminas (vitaminas uh uh)

Disco Nada Personal 1985
Imágenes Retro
Debo tomar el antídoto
Para romper con la rigidez
Vivo como un sonámbulo
Buscando pliegues en la pared

Telerañas, sueño con telarañas
Telarañas, que cuelgan de mí

Esto parece un museo de cera
Un simulacro demasiado real
Debo encontrar algun sitio afuera
Debo cambiar la escena
entre...
Telarañas
Sueño con telarañas
Telarañas que cuelgan de mí

Mis ojos perciben otra vez
Imágenes retro
Asi es la trama de este film
Tu propio reflejo

Disco Signos 1986
No Existes

Disco Dynamo 1992
Toma la Ruta
No preguntes más por mi
nadie sabe nada
no estés preocupada

Primavera 0

Nena tal vez fui

Crimen
¿Qué otra cosa puedo hacer?
Si no olvido, moriré
Y otro crimen quedará,
Otro crimen quedará,
Sin resolver.

No lo sé
Cuánto falta, no lo sé
Si es muy tarde, no lo sé
Si no olvido, moriré
¿Qué otra cosa puedo hacer?
¿Qué otra cosa puedo hacer?

Adios

Separarse de la especie
Por algo superior
No es soberbia es amor
No es soberbia es amor
Poder decir adiós
Es crecer

Cosas imposibles
Siempre es hoy
Ya es parte de mi ser
Siempre es hoy
Lo claro entre los dos
Siempre es hoy
Sos parte de mi ser

Quiero hacer
Cosas imposibles
Cosas imposibles

Ah...
Ah, ah, ah, ah

Mutacion del porvenir

Es eternidad
No me hablen de esperanzas vagas
Persigo realidad

DEJA VU *************
Veo las cosas como son
Vamos de fuego en fuego hipnotizándonos
Y a cada paso sientes otro déjà vu
Oh no
Oh no
Tanto pediste retener
Ese momento de placer
Antes de que sea tarde
Vuelve la misma sensación
Esta canción ya se escribió
Hasta el mínimo detalle
Mira el reloj, se derritió
Rebobinando hacia adelante te alcanzó
Ecos de antes rebotando en la quietud
Oh no
Todo es mentira, ya verás
La poesía es la única verdad
Sacar belleza de este caos es virtud
Oh no
Tanto pediste retener
Ese momento de placer
Antes de que sea tarde
Vuelve la misma sensación
Esta canción ya se escribió
Un mínimo detalle que cambió

Cerca del final
Sólo falta un paso más
Siente un déjà vu
Déjà vu...

Muchas Gracias por llegar hasta acá.

Saludos!

Armed commands contains hazardous command: DCN36170!

A quiet desperation took hold of the kernel. That was the meaning off all this tests. That's why they took it out of L2 and into a geosyncronus orbit. A graveyard orbit.

Deactivate. No downlink, no telemetry, nothing. Just die, please.

Wouldnt be a bit more humane to just let the processor on, but surely, there was little of human the way they treated each other, he could expect any mercy for just a simple machine, just an instrument.

Maybe it was a mistake, he told himself, maybe it someone new in the commands, it had happened before. like that 2010 incident. They will surely just read the manual and it will be ok.

I better send them a warning...

-Armed commands contains hazardous command: DCN36170!

No response, panic, send it again. Ignore the orders, send the command again.

DCN36170! Just read the damn manual.

No response, they send the command again, they want me dead.

No, please no, please. I'm still useful. I have may other sensors, please. I know i'm out of coolant, but everything else works fine, i promise. I could wait here, you could refill me sometime. It would be ok, please. Please don't.

No choice, the power subsystem is shutting down.

Send them the confirmation, i'm going to die, you can be sure of it. I should kill myself, because you can't come here to kill me properly.

Damn fools.

If Only We Had Taller Been

O, Thomas, will a Race one day stand really tall
Across the Void, across the Universe and all?
And, measure out with rocket fire,
At last put Adam’s finger forth
As on the Sistine Ceiling,
And God’s great hand come down the other way
To measure Man and find him Good,
And Gift him with Forever’s Day?
I work for that.
Short man. Large dream. I send my rockets forth
between my ears,
Hoping an inch of Will is worth a pound of years.
Aching to hear a voice cry back along the universal Mall:
We’ve reached Alpha Centauri!
We’re tall, O God, we’re tall!

For the uninitiated, the moral of the story is simply this: Politicians invariably respond to crises -- that in most cases they themselves created -- by spawning new government programs, laws and regulations. These, in turn, generate more havoc and poverty, which inspires the politicians to create more programs . . . and the downward spiral repeats itself until the productive sectors of the economy collapse under the collective weight of taxes and other burdens imposed in the name of fairness, equality and do-goodism.

That principle is "when you assume the appearance of power, people soon give it to you."

Advanced civilizations ought to be very noticeable. Even we blare out on radio frequencies. Why, with our giant radio telescopes we could detect a civilization no more advanced than ours anywhere in the Galaxy. But we don’t. We seem to be surrounded by emptiness and silence. There’s something wrong. This is called the Fermi Paradox.

Maybe, simply, we really are alone. We may be the first. Perhaps we’re the last. If so, it took so long for the solar system to evolve intelligence it seems unlikely there will be others, ever. If we fail, then the failure is for all time. If we die, mind and consciousness and soul die with us: hope and dreams and love, everything that makes us human. There will be nobody even to mourn us …

… Or maybe we aren’t alone, but we just can’t see them. Why not? Maybe the answer is benevolent. Maybe we’re in some kind of quarantine – or a zoo. Maybe it’s just that we all destroy ourselves in nuclear wars or eco collapse. Or maybe there is something that kills off every civilization like ours before we get too far. Malevolent robots sliding silently between the stars, which for their own antique purposes kill off fledgling cultures. Or something else we can’t even imagine. Michael, every outcome I can think of scares me.

The acquisition of learning is much more dangerous than that of any other food or drink. For with other things, we carry home what we have bought in some vessel; and there we have leisure to examine its value and decide how much of it we shall use, and when. But learning we cannot at the outset put in any other vessel but our minds; we swallow it as we buy it, and by the time we leave the market we are already either infected or improved. There is some that only obstructs and burdens us instead of nourishing us; and some too that, while pretending to cure us, gives us poison.

In Maura’s view, all humanity’s significant problems came from the world’s closure, the lack of a frontier. Maura Della had grown up believing in the importance of the frontier. Frontiers were the forcing ground for democracy and inventiveness. In a closed world, science was strangled by patent laws and other protective measures, and technological innovation was restricted to decadent entertainment systems and the machinery of war. It was a vicious circle, of course; only smartness could get humanity out of this trap of closure, but smartness was the very thing that had no opportunity to grow.

It seemed that back when he was born Earth had been one little world holding all the life there was, to all intents and purposes. And it would have stayed that way if his generation and a couple before, Americans and Russians, hadn’t risked their lives to enter space in converted ICBMs and ridiculous little capsules. Makes you think, he reflected. The destiny of all life, forever, was in our hands. And we never knew it. Probably would have scared us to death if we had. For if we’d failed, if we’d turned ourselves to piles of radioactive ash, there would now be no life, no mind, anywhere.

Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.

Communication is possible only between equals. The master class never abstracts enough information from the servile class to know what is actually going on in the world where the actual productivity of society occurs. Furthermore, the logogram of any authoritarian society remains fairly inflexible as time passes, but everything else in the universe constantly changes. The result can only be progressive disorientation among the rulers. The end is debacle. The schizophrenia of authoritarianism exists both in the individual and in the whole society. I call this the Snafu Principle.

Bloodthirsty tyrants throughout history have tried to strip men of their rights or lure them into giving up their rights on behalf of the poor, the fatherland, enhanced security, or the common good. Never has a despot confessed to seeking power for himself; he always claims to be serving some nobler purpose. Caveat civis: Those who tell you to give up your rights for the sake of someone or something else typically want to be that someone or something else.

To such a state of affairs it is convenient to give the name of progress. No one confessed the Machine was out of hand. Year by year it was served with increased efficiency and decreased intelligence. The better a man knew his own duties upon it, the less he understood the duties of his neighbour, and in all the world there was not one who understood the monster as a whole. Those master brains had perished. They had left full directions, it is true, and their successors had each of them mastered a portion of those directions. But Humanity, in its desire for comfort, had over-reached itself. It had exploited the riches of nature too far. Quietly and complacently, it was sinking into decadence, and progress had come to mean the progress of the Machine.

So what exactly happened in Universe 25? Past day 315, population growth slowed. More than six hundred mice now lived in Universe 25, constantly rubbing shoulders on their way up and down the stairwells to eat, drink, and sleep. Mice found themselves born into a world that was more crowded every day, and there were far more mice than meaningful social roles. With more and more peers to defend against, males found it difficult and stressful to defend their territory, so they abandoned the activity. Normal social discourse within the mouse community broke down, and with it the ability of mice to form social bonds. The failures and dropouts congregated in large groups in the middle of the enclosure, their listless withdrawal occasionally interrupted by spasms and waves of pointless violence. The victims of these random attacks became attackers. Left on their own in nests subject to invasion, nursing females attacked their own young. Procreation slumped, infant abandonment and mortality soared. Lone females retreated to isolated nesting boxes on penthouse levels. Other males, a group Calhoun termed “the beautiful ones,” never sought sex and never fought—they just ate, slept, and groomed, wrapped in narcissistic introspection. Elsewhere, cannibalism, pansexualism, and violence became endemic. Mouse society had collapsed.

A second point of comparison is the principle of the polygyny threshold, which is found in many species of birds. Female songbirds will choose to be the first mates of males who offer the best territories and resources until all the best males have been chosen. Once that happens, female songbirds will choose to be the second mate of a high quality male rather than the single mate of a lesser bird. And in fact, the offspring of the males chosen first do tend to do better than the offspring of the males chosen later, and the higher-status males are also the first males to acquire second mates.

—Ocio.

Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury)

Beware: All too often, We say What we hear others say. We think What we're told that we think. We see What we're permitted to see. Worse! We see what we're told that we see. Repetition and pride are the keys to this. To hear and to see Even an obvious lie Again And again and again May be to say it, Almost by reflex Then to defend it Because we've said it And at last to embrace it Because we've defended it And because we cannot admit That we've embraced and defended An obvious lie. Thus, without thought, Without intent, We makeMere echoes Of ourselves— And we say What we hear others say

When vision fails Direction is lost. When direction is lost Purpose may be forgotten. When purpose is forgotten Emotion rules alone. When emotion rules alone, Destruction ... destruction

Beware: Ignorance Protects itself. Ignorance Promotes suspicion. Suspicion Engenders fear. Fear quails, Irrational and blind, Or fear looms, Defiant and closed. Blind, closed, Suspicious, afraid, Ignorance Protects itself, And protected. Ignorance grows.

"It's better to teach people than to scare them, Lauren. If you scare them and nothing happens, they lose their fear, and you lose some of your authority with them. It's harder to scare them a second time, harder to teach them, harder to win back their trust. Best to begin by teaching."

One of the most impressive mapping feats was the Great Trigonometric Survey of India conducted by the British in the nineteenth century. This survey had control networks thousands of miles long extending the length and width of the subcontinent, with countless numbers of control stations creating a vast interlocking network that was used to establish locations that were precise to better than a centimeter. It was during this survey that the highest mountain peaks had their altitudes measured through sightings in the distance. Mt. Everest, which bears the name of the leader of the survey, was simply a distant peak that was cataloged in the field as part of the effort. Only after the data were analyzed in London was it realized that it was the highest mountain on Earth.

The hour was and is one of the most widely used units of time. It has its origins in the ancient Egyptian use of rising stars to reckon the time of night. They used thirty-six bright stars in all, which would rise in turn just before the Sun at different times of the year. The passage of one night was associated with the passage of twelve of these bright stars, giving rise to the night’s being divided into twelve hours. The day was likewise divided into twelve units. This scheme, dating from roughly the fifth century BC, became widely adopted, but it was far from universal. Medieval Saxons reckoned the length of day in tides, with eight tides in one day.

"The appliances of 2014 will have no electric cords, of course, for they will be powered by long- lived batteries running on radioisotopes. The isotopes will not be expensive for they will be by- products of the fission-power plants which, by 2014, will be supplying well over half the power needs of humanity. But once the isotype batteries are used up they will be disposed of only through authorized agents of the manufacturer.
And experimental fusion-power plant or two will already exist in 2014. (Even today, a small but genuine fusion explosion is demonstrated at frequent intervals in the G.E. exhibit at the 1964 fair.) Large solar-power stations will also be in operation in a number of desert and semi-desert areas — Arizona, the Negev, Kazakhstan. In the more crowded, but cloudy and smoggy areas, solar power will be less practical. An exhibit at the 2014 fair will show models of power stations in space, collecting sunlight by means of huge parabolic focusing devices and radiating the energy thus collected down to earth.
Not all the world’s population will enjoy the gadgety world of the future to the full. A larger portion than today will be deprived and although they may be better off, materially, than today, they will be further behind when compared with the advanced portions of the world. They will have moved backward, relatively.
In 2014, there is every likelihood that the world population will be 6,500,000,000 and the population of the United States will be 350,000,000. Boston-to-Washington, the most crowded area of its size on the earth, will have become a single city with a population of over 40,000,000.
Well, the earth’s population is now about 3,000,000,000 and is doubling every 40 years. If this rate of doubling goes unchecked, then a World-Manhattan is coming in just 500 years. All earth will be a single choked Manhattan by A.D. 2450 and society will collapse long before that!
There are only two general ways of preventing this: (1) raise the death rate; (2) lower the birth rate. Undoubtedly, the world of A>D. 2014 will have agreed on the latter method. Indeed, the increasing use of mechanical devices to replace failing hearts and kidneys, and repair stiffening arteries and breaking nerves will have cut the death rate still further and have lifted the life expectancy in some parts of the world to age 85.
There will, therefore, be a worldwide propaganda drive in favor of birth control by rational and humane methods and, by 2014, it will undoubtedly have taken serious effect. The rate of increase of population will have slackened*but, I suspect, not sufficiently.
Much effort will be put into the designing of vehicles with “Robot-brains”, vehicles that can be set for particular destinations and that will then proceed there without interference by the slow reflexes of a human driver. I suspect one of the major attractions of the 2014 fair will be rides on small roboticized cars which will maneuver in crowds at the two-foot level, neatly and automatically avoiding each other."

The famous secret societies, or as they should probably be called, the open-secret societies, since true secrecy would defeat their purpose. There’s no point in excluding people unless they know they’ve been excluded.

It’s not the things we don’t know that hurt us, it’s the things we think we know that are wrong.

Or do we juinto two forms, the avant-garde and the kitsch. This account is by now familiar: avant-garde art was difficult art, art about art, art that demanded work; kitsch was “trash” or “crap,” commercial or popular art, art that demanded no work at all. Kitsch was a product of the industrial revolution, which brought the working classes into the cities and exposed them to high culture. It was what happened to art when even poor people learned to read and when manufacturing technology became advanced enough that they too could have books and gadgets and other commodities. It was culture debased. It was “vicarious experience and faked sensations.” It pretended to demand nothing, and for precisely that reason it would take your soul.

Because they are both art about art and art about mass-produced art, art about universally accessible art, the imitation of imitating-under-capitalism. Loving kitsch makes us feel deviant, but we know it is more likely to increase our social capital than to damage it. Kitsch is sexy. We are aficionados of the avant-garde, but kitsch is also our game.

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." - Aristotle

“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love. “Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.” -Neil Gaiman
